Have heard the recent news about the skiing accident and subsequent passing of actress, Natasha Richardson. How very sad and tragic to lose someone so young with children...
close at hand in our distress;
meet us in our sorrow and lift our eyes
to the peace and light of your constant care.
Help us so to hear your word of grace
that our fear will be dispelled by your love,
our loneliness eased by your presence
and our hope renewed by your promises

Have you ever thought about what you would take if you had to evacuate your home? Perhaps you are given maybe 20 minutes to grab any valuables/belongings?
It is a scary reality for many folks in Southern California over the past few days. Due to strong Santa Ana winds, a set of fires broke out between Orange, LA & Ventura Counties. My husband's work is located just South from one of the major fire areas, but luckily they just have poor air quality to contend with.
Many have not been so fortunate and have lost their homes in these devastating fires. Please send your prayers to the families who have lost so much ~ They will need extra blessings as we go into the holiday season.

Grandmother, Madelyn Dunham,
who passed away at age 86
after a battle with cancer.
