Whole Lotta Shaking Going On

Something interesting happened to me last night. I was getting ready to close down for the evening, standing at the bathroom mirror brushing my teeth.

And we were in the middle of an earthquake! The floor rumbled, and it felt like the whole house was shaken a few times. It happened so fast that you really don't know how to react to it - almost like things are in slow motion.

The good news - It was only a 3.0 rated magnitude
The scary news - It originated only a few miles from our home. That's why it felt really intense.

Just another crazy evening here in Southern California :o)

thanks for the encouragement! i feel much better about it now! :-) I've never experienced an earthquake before but good thing it wasn't an intense one. :-)

Glad it was small. I live in San Fransisco and San Bruno, CA. years ago, but did get to experience an earthquake in SF. My gold fish bowl was slopping around. I was in the 6th grade and a little frightened. Thanks for inviting me to your hood. Will take time to get familiar.
